Russian Export Center, min to join efforts to promote IT exports

MOSCOW, Sep 27 (PRIME) -- The Russian Export Center and the Communications and Mass Media Ministry have signed an agreement to raise exports of products and services of the domestic industry of information and communications technologies and the number of export-oriented companies, the ministry said Tuesday in a statement.

“The agreement with the Russian Export Center will make it possible to implement effective measures of state support for domestic IT companies,” Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov said, as quoted in the statement.

“The partnership reflects the long-manifested demand for tools of such backup, among which are legal consultations for Russian companies interested in the entrance to foreign markets, support of their participation in big international exhibitions and the most important industry forums, addition of issues raised by IT companies to the agenda of intergovernmental commissions.

“Today we are speaking about shaping of a digital economy, when information and communications technologies improve effectiveness of the country as a whole and when any form of support of IT is actually an investment in the national economy.”

The export center’s General Director Pyotr Fradkov said that domestic producers have profitable offers, effective solutions and innovative products for foreign partners, but they need expert consultations on legal and administrative issues, among others.

The center is ready to provide companies with a whole set of financial and non-financial assistance, Fradkov said.

The partners agreed that the center will analyze and unify practice of export of IT products and services, study foreign expertise and will submit suggestions to the ministry.
